Take your store offline
Open your page's Settings and click Unpublish storefront. Your products stop selling, but payment links keep working until you disable them.
Take it offline
- Open Your page, then Settings.
- Under Visibility, click Unpublish storefront.
Your store and product pages now show a 404 to visitors. It can take up to about a minute for everyone. Your store also leaves the leaderboard while it's offline.
What it does to sales
- Products stop selling, including from a direct checkout address. A checkout someone had already opened on Stripe can still finish.
- Payment links keep working. They're separate from your store, so a client can still pay one. To stop them too, use Disable in Payment links.
What stays the same
- Your past buyers keep access to what they bought, and can still reach their order pages.
- Your orders, products and analytics stay in your dashboard.
- You can still refund orders. Any disputes still go through Stripe, where you bear them as usual.
- Your plan continues. If you're on Pro, you keep paying €9 a month through Stripe until you move back to Free.
- Your Stripe account stays yours. Unpublishing changes nothing on it.
Bring it back
- Open Your page, then Settings.
- Under Visibility, click Publish current draft.
This puts your open draft live, including any changes in it you haven't published yet. If you're not sure what's in there, open the editor first and check it, or use Discard changes to go back to what you last published.
Your products go back on sale with it. Any you hid yourself stay hidden until you use Show on store.
How to tell it's offline
Look at the status next to the title on Your page, or open your store address in a private window. The small tag at the bottom of your dashboard's sidebar always says Live, so don't rely on that one.
If you want to leave for good
Unpublishing is for taking a break. To go for good, see close your account and leaving Dockstall.
