Help center / Plans and billing
Move back to Free
Open Plan & fees, press Switch to Free and confirm. You keep Pro until the end of the month you paid for, then the 5% fee applies and your store stays online.
Move to Free
- Open Plan & fees in the dashboard.
- On the Free card, press Switch to Free.
- Press Move to Free in the dialog.
Your plan card now shows "Moving to Free on" and the date. Pro keeps working until then, and you stop being charged €9 after that.
Where it happens and who pays
You do this in Dockstall, and we tell Stripe to end the subscription at the end of your paid period. You keep what you've paid for until that date. Nothing in Dockstall refunds part of a month. Your Stripe account for sales isn't touched.
What changes on that date
- Fee: 5% on checkouts that start after it. Past orders keep the fee they had.
- Your own domain: it keeps working for 14 days, then it's disconnected. We email you about it. Your dockstall.com address keeps working either way.
- Pro banners and footers: your store shows your style's own banner and footer instead. We keep your choice, in case you come back.
- Drafts: Free allows one, so you can't create new drafts while you're above that.
- Email: you get one saying you're on Dockstall Free.
What stays the same
- Your store stays online, and so do your products and files.
- Your buyers keep their access.
- Your coupons, payment links and analytics stay.
If you change your mind
Before the date, Plan & fees doesn't have a button that cancels the move. Try Open billing portal, which takes you to Stripe, and look for an option to keep the subscription. If it isn't there, write to us before the date.
After the date, press Switch to Pro to start a new subscription. See upgrade to Pro. If your own domain was disconnected in the meantime, you may need to remove it under Domains and add it again.
Deals
If the card says "Pro on Dockstall", you got Pro as a deal from us. There's nothing to cancel, and it ends on its own.
Closing your account
With a paid Pro plan you need to move to Free first and wait for your Pro period to end. See close your account.
