Close your account

Until your store has its first order you can close it yourself in Settings; after that, you close it by writing to privacy@dockstall.com.

If your store has no orders yet

  1. If you're on Pro, first move to Free and wait for your Pro period to end.
  2. Open Settings and go to Close your account.
  3. Under Store address, type the name of your store exactly as shown in the box, without .dockstall.com.
  4. Select Close my account.

This removes your store, products and files for good, and you can't undo it. Consider exporting your data first.

If your store has an order

Any order counts, including a free one and one you placed yourself to test your store.

Write to privacy@dockstall.com from your sign-in email and ask us to close your account. It goes through us because buyers rely on your store, and we have to keep some records.

What we keep

  • Order records, fees and invoices are kept for 10 years, for accounting and tax.
  • Account and store data is deleted within 90 days of closing, apart from those records.

The Privacy Policy has the details.

What happens to your Stripe account

Nothing. It's your own account, and it stays yours after you close here. Closing Dockstall doesn't close Stripe. If you want that too, you do it with Stripe. Your balance and payouts stay between you and Stripe, and refunds or disputes on past sales can still reach you there.

Your buyers

The Terms say buyers keep access to what they bought for as long as we can reasonably provide it. We can't promise that's forever. So it's kind to tell them before you go. See leaving Dockstall.

Not ready to close?

You can take your store offline and keep your account.
