Help center / Stripe and getting paid
Stripe won't connect or is asking for more
Open Payouts to see what Stripe still wants, then finish it on Stripe. Stripe does the checking and makes the decision, and we can't approve an account for you.
Start here
Open Payouts. The title tells you whose move it is.
- Almost there: you haven't finished Stripe's form. Click Continue with Stripe.
- Stripe needs a bit more: Stripe wants more details. The list under Still to add on Stripe: says what. Click Continue with Stripe.
- Stripe couldn't verify your details: something you entered didn't match. Read Stripe says:, then click Fix it on Stripe. You may be able to verify another way, with an ID document or a selfie.
- Stripe is checking your details: nothing to do. The page updates by itself. You can also click Refresh status.
Checkout stays off until Stripe says yes. You can still edit your store and offer free products. We also email you when Stripe asks for something new.
Payments are on, but payouts aren't
If you see Taking payments with Payouts pending verification, buyers can pay, but Stripe has not enabled payouts yet. Open Open Stripe dashboard to see what's outstanding. Stripe explains that outstanding requirements appear as a banner at the top of your dashboard.
Error messages on Dockstall
- "Too many attempts. Try again in a bit." Wait a while and try again. There is a limit of 10 tries per hour.
- "Stripe didn't accept the request" followed by a reason. Try again. If it repeats, write to us with the exact message.
- "Dockstall currently supports sellers in the EU and Switzerland." Your country isn't on our list. Today that list is the 27 EU countries and Switzerland. See countries.
If Stripe says no
We can pass on what the page shows, but we can't change Stripe's answer, tell you more than Stripe tells us, or take payments another way. Paid sales on Dockstall need an approved Stripe account. Free products keep working without one.
Your best route is Stripe's own support.
Who pays
Nothing is charged by Dockstall for any of this.
