Help center / Getting started

Go from signup to your first sale

Create your account, set up your store, connect Stripe, publish a product and share your link.

To sell on Dockstall you need to be at least 18, sell as a business or self-employed person, and be based in a country we accept.

Set up your store

  1. Sign up with Google, or with your email and a password of at least 10 characters, typed twice, then Create account. If we email you a confirmation link, open it on the same device.
  2. At Let's name your harbour., fill in Display name, Store address and Support email, and pick what you make. Choose the address with care: you can't change it yourself later.
  3. At Make it yours., set your style, banner and text, then Continue. Everything stays editable later.
  4. At Now on a computer., pick how products sit on a wide screen, then Looks good, put it live. This publishes your store.

Connect Stripe

At Get paid., choose your country and click Connect with Stripe. Stripe opens in a new tab. The form takes about five minutes, and approval can take longer.

You can pick Skip for now and do it later from Payouts. Paid products can't be bought until Stripe approves you, and free products work right away. Stripe decides on approval, and we can't decide for it.

Add a product

  1. Click Add your first product.
  2. Fill in Product name, What do buyers get? and Price, then Create product.
  3. On the product's page, upload your files or add your link. Add a cover and a description too.
  4. Click Publish. Until you do, nobody sees it.

Check it and share it

  1. Test your store as a buyer would.
  2. Copy your store link and put it where your audience already is. See share your store.

Who pays what

Payments happen on your Stripe account. On each paid sale you bear our fee, which is 5% on Free and 1% on Pro, and Stripe's own fee on top. On a €19 sale on Free, our fee is €0.95. See what you pay per sale.

Common problems

  • "This seller isn't taking payments yet." Stripe hasn't approved your account yet. See Stripe won't connect or is asking for more.
  • "Upload at least one file." The product has no file a buyer can download yet. A file held for review doesn't count.
  • "Add the link buyers should receive." A link product needs its link before you can publish.
