Why a store gets reviewed or suspended, and how to contest it
We act when content is illegal or breaks our rules, we tell you what we did and why unless the law or an investigation prevents it, and you can contest it by replying to us.
If your account is suspended
- Read the banner at the top of your dashboard. It gives the reason if one is recorded.
- Read any message we sent you.
- Reply to that message, or write to
hello@dockstall.com. Say why you think the decision is wrong and include anything that shows it, such as proof you own the work.
We answer and review it without undue delay, but we can't promise the decision will change.
Why it can happen
Anyone can report a store, product or payment link, and a person reviews the report. If content is illegal, or breaks the Terms or the Seller Rules, we may:
- Remove content
- Unpublish products
- Restrict payouts through Stripe
- Suspend the account
- Close the account, for serious or repeated violations
The Terms don't promise a warning first. See what you can and can't sell.
Files that look like programs are a different thing. They can be held for a manual check without any action on your account. See my file is in review.
What you're told
We tell you what we did and why, in a statement of reasons. The exception is when the law or an investigation prevents it.
What happens while you're suspended
- Your store, product pages and payment links go offline.
- Checkout is off, and you can't publish.
- You can still sign in and see your orders.
- Today, buyers who already bought can still open their order pages and download.
Your money
Sales go to your own Stripe account, and we don't hold your money. But the Terms let us restrict payouts through Stripe, so we can't say a suspension never touches them. See can my money be held?
Refunds run through Stripe, so they depend on the state of your Stripe account.
If it's Stripe, not us
Stripe can restrict your account on its own terms. Those decisions are Stripe's, and we can't overturn them or explain what Stripe won't. Check your Stripe dashboard.
