Your Pro payment failed
Update your card through Open billing portal on Plan & fees. Your store stays online, Pro keeps working for 7 days while Stripe retries, and your domain for 14 days after that.
Fix it
- Open Plan & fees in the dashboard. Your plan card says "Payment failed on" and the date.
- Press Open billing portal. Stripe's page opens.
- Update your card there.
Once a payment goes through, the notice goes away and Pro carries on as normal.
The payment and the retries happen on Stripe. We can't take the payment for you or tell you why your bank refused it. You pay the €9, and the failure itself costs nothing in Dockstall.
What happens if it stays unpaid
A failed Pro payment doesn't take your store offline. Here's what changes, counting from the failed payment:
- Days 1 to 7: Pro keeps working while Stripe retries. Your own domain, Pro banners and footers, and 10 drafts all stay.
- After 7 days: Pro stops. Your store shows your style's own banner and footer, and your choices are kept. You can't create new drafts above Free's limit of one.
- For 14 days after that: your own domain keeps working, and we email you a warning. Then it's disconnected. Your dockstall.com address keeps working either way.
What about the 1% fee?
The 1% rate lasts until Stripe ends the subscription, which can be later than the 7 days. When that happens depends on Stripe's retries, and we can't give you a date. From then on, new checkouts pay 5%, and you get an email saying you're on Dockstall Free. Past orders keep the fee they had.
What stays the same
Your products, your files, your buyers' access and your Stripe account for sales aren't affected.
You may not get an email from us
Dockstall doesn't email you at the moment a payment fails. Stripe may, depending on its settings. The notice on Plan & fees is the place to check, so look there if you think your card has expired.
After the subscription ends
Press Switch to Pro to start again. See upgrade to Pro. If your own domain was disconnected, you may need to remove it under Domains and add it again.
If you'd rather stop, see move back to Free.
