Is Pro worth it for you?

On fees alone, Pro costs less once your sales pass about €225 a month. Below that, Free costs less unless you want the domain or the extra designs.

The quick answer

Pro costs €9 a month and saves you 4% on every sale. At €225 of sales a month, both plans cost the same: €11.25. Above that, Pro costs less.

Examples

Sales of €100 in a month:

  • Free: 5% is €5
  • Pro: €9 + 1% (€1) is €10
  • Free costs €5 less

Sales of €225:

  • Free: €11.25
  • Pro: €9 + €2.25 is €11.25
  • The same

Sales of €500:

  • Free: €25
  • Pro: €9 + €5 is €14
  • Pro costs €11 less

Sales of €1,000:

  • Free: €50
  • Pro: €9 + €10 is €19
  • Pro costs €31 less

These are Dockstall's costs only. Stripe's processing fee is separate and the same on both plans, and it's charged on your Stripe account. You bear both.

  2. Under Your estimate, set Sales per month and Average price.
  3. The estimate shows what each plan would cost you.

Once you have at least 5 paid orders in the last 90 days, it also tells you which plan costs less based on your real sales. It's a projection, not a promise. Its Stripe figure assumes standard EEA cards.

Reasons other than money

Pro may be worth it below €225 if you want:

  • Your own domain. See connect your own domain.
  • More designs. 19 more banners and 19 more footers.
  • 10 drafts. Try whole new designs without touching your live store. Free has one.

Pro doesn't remove the "Made with Dockstall" badge, and doesn't change how your store sells or delivers.

If your sales go up and down

You can switch when it suits you. Pro bills monthly, and going back to Free applies at the end of the month you paid for. See move back to Free for what changes, including your domain.
