Who am I buying from?

You're buying from the independent seller who runs the store, while Dockstall provides the store and delivery and Stripe processes the payment.

Who does what

  • The seller is the person or business behind the store. You buy from them. They're responsible for the product, its description, the price, taxes, refunds and support.
  • Dockstall provides the store, the checkout and the delivery on the seller's behalf. We aren't a party to the sale.
  • Stripe processes the payment. Your card details never reach Dockstall.

Where to see the seller's name

  • On the product page: Sold by, followed by their name
  • At checkout, below the payment button
  • On your order page and your emails
  • On your card statement, as their business name

What the seller's details tell you

Every store that takes payments shows who's selling, before you pay: name or company name, country and email, plus address and VAT number for a seller who has one. Sellers declare these details themselves. If something looks wrong, tell us.

Is this store real?

We can't vouch for every seller. A store on Dockstall doesn't mean we've checked or approved its products. To take payments, a seller has to connect a Stripe account, and Stripe verifies their identity.

Some things you can check before buying:

  • The address. Stores live at an address like name.dockstall.com, or on the seller's own domain.
  • The checkout. Checkout happens on dockstall.com, and you then pay on Stripe's page. Your order page is on dockstall.com too.
  • The seller. Look them up elsewhere, and see whether their profiles link back to this store.

If something feels off, you don't have to buy.

If something looks wrong

If you think a store is a scam, or sells something it shouldn't, use Report this product on the product page, or the Report page. A person reviews every report. See report a store or product.

If you've already bought

The Buyer Terms set all this out, including who runs Dockstall.
