How buyers reach what they bought
Right after checkout buyers land on a private order page, and we email them a link to it. They don't need an account.
What happens at checkout
- The buyer types their email on the checkout page. Delivery goes to that address.
- They pay on Stripe's page. Free products skip this step.
- Their order page opens, with Download for files, Open link for links, and a receipt. Some payment methods take longer, so they see "Confirming your payment…" until the payment clears.
- We email them a link to the page, with the button Open my order.
How they come back later
- On the same browser. It remembers the purchase for 30 days, and
dockstall.com/orderslists it under My purchases. - From the email. The link lasts 7 days. After that the page says it has expired and offers Get a new link.
- From anywhere. At
dockstall.com/orders, Find a purchase and Email me a link send a link to every order made with that email. It lasts one hour. - With an account. Buyers can create one if they want. Orders with a matching verified email are added to it.
Without one of these, the address of an order page shows "not found". That keeps purchases private, even if someone shares the page address.
What they see on the order page
- Every released version they're entitled to, with the newest marked Latest, and its release notes.
- Files held for review, marked "Being reviewed". They can't be downloaded until they are cleared.
- Your support email, after "Need help?".
If you withdraw a version, it disappears from the page. If you change a sold link, past buyers get the new address the next time they open it. A link can be shared and we can't take back access at the destination, and buyers are told that before they buy.
When access ends
- A full refund ends access. A partial refund doesn't.
- A lost dispute ends access. An open dispute doesn't.
- Hiding or archiving a product doesn't end access for past buyers.
Our terms say buyers keep what they bought for as long as we can reasonably provide it.
Payment links are different
A payment link has nothing to deliver through Dockstall. The client gets a receipt by email, and the work is between you and them. See what your client sees.
